Safeguarding

Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is the

responsibility of EVERYONE at Staunton and Corse Academy

.
Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, we should make sure our approach is child-centred. This means that we should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child.
Everyone at Staunton and Corse Academy fully recognises its responsibility, under section 175 of the Education Act 2002, to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to work together with other agencies to ensure there are adequate arrangements within our school to identify, assess and support those children who may be suffering harm.
