Welcome to Little Stars Pre-School at Staunton and Corse Academy

We are based within Staunton and Corse Academy and offer sessions for children aged 2 to 4 years. We are open term time only between 9 a.m. - 3 pm Monday to Friday, with the option of a pre-booked breakfast club from 8 am.

At Little Stars, we aim to provide high-quality care and education for children, working in partnership with parents/carers to help children learn and develop using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

We provide stimulating and engaging activities and resources based on our children's interests and next steps. We have our own outdoor space that we use in all weathers, and we benefit from the school's extensive grounds including a climbing frame, forest school and orchard.

Little Stars welcomes outside providers weekly for dance and music sessions, alongside a weekly PE session in the school hall.

Our base within the academy means our children benefit from the close links we have built with the staff - this includes transition days, story times and engaging with reception teachers creating familiarity. This ensures a seamless transition from our pre-school into Reception.

We accept 2-year-old funding, and 15 and 30-hour funding, subject to session availability.

Please get in touch via littlestars@stauntoncorse.gloucs.sch.uk or 01452 840240 option 3 for a prospectus or to arrange a visit.

We look forward to welcoming you.

Our aim is to ensure that our setting is welcoming and accessible to all children and families within the local community, using open, fair, and transparent procedures.

The nursery operates for 38 weeks each year, with holidays aligned to the local school holiday calendar. Families will be informed of the holiday dates every September. The academic year is divided into three terms: roughly September–December, January–April, and May–July.

In addition, the nursery closes for five INSET days each year, with advance notice provided to parents and carers. On rare occasions, the nursery may need to close at short notice due to unforeseen circumstances such as severe weather, flooding, staffing shortages, utility failures, natural disasters, or outbreaks of illness.
